2005

October 10-11 -

"Late in the night of Monday the 10th to Tuesday the 11th of October, while on the hill of Ai-Yannis, in the area of Dafni-Neos Kosmos, we came upon a sudden and violent attack of at least 20 cops -- some of them in uniforms, some others undercovered -- who, after surrounding the hill, came at us with guns, swearing and threatening us. After we were chased out of the area, and after some guns shots were fired at us, we were arrested and led to the Security Force Headquarters, in Alexandra ave. There, we were kept completely isolated from the outer world (they wouldn't let us make a phonecall for more than 12 hours, not even to a lawyer) and after subsequent extortive inquisition sessions and investigation of our homes, we were told we faced 6 criminal accusations, concerning 2 nearby video-cameras having been set on fire. We denied every accusation from the very beginning, so the public prosecutor reduced them to 3 (1 criminal offence about constructing and possessing a molotov cocktail plus 2 minor offences about arson and damages caused).

The fact that we deny having been involved in this very case, does not mean we disagree with such reactions to the wide-spread control by the state against its vassals. We live the everyday asphyxiating conditions of the suppression, the commercialization of everything and the surveillance, widely "offered" by local and international gangs of bosses; we consciously choose the way of resisting against every sort of authorities. Such actions are part of the total social revolt and struggle, against what domineers over our lives and keeps us far from freedom...
