Skills USA
Skills USA is a national competition where tech students from all over the country compete in their fields. The fifty teams that take gold then come together for the finals. I competed in this competition.
The Competition I participated in was “3D Visualization and Animation” With my partner we would have one hour to create an animation for the prompt that we were given. In the weeks leading up to the competition my partner and I would practice. We learned how we would work together. When competition day came I walked in full of confidence. I took the lessons I had learned from my CAWD 1 finale and I applied it. We made a detailed project. I thought of what the judges would want, I understood it. We aimed for realism and readability. We focused on making a polished animation. Quality over quantity. And so we were one of the teams to finish, we were the team to win.
