| Current Story Line History (cont.)Pg 2/2 After a series of attacks, Mordred�s coven ended up being at odds with Lestat. The vampire set up a trap, which led him and Armand directly to the coven. Mordred killed himself that night due to the fact that Kehleb pressured him with warning of how much the vamps might learn from drinking Mordred�s blood. Now the network they organized was placed in Kehleb's hands. Cronan was at Mordred�s side when the Warlock died. Being that Mordred wanted in some way to make up for his actions against Cronan, and the fact that in the years since he had grown very attached to the young man, Cronan was given the Blood Demon Savage through a release spell spoken by Mordred just before the Dark Priest died. Though independent from Kehleb, Cronan was an old companion and friend of Kehleb. They agreed to go separate ways to make it harder for Lestat and Armand to hunt them down. When the Sanctuary of the 7 heard about Mordred�s death they called upon Michael Devonwood, knowing that he had been close to Mordred and knew his understudies on sight. The elders assigned him to investigate Mordred�s death. Michael was a drug-addicted alcoholic, a man who wallowed around in anger and self-pity. Kehleb was first to find him, Cronan second, and they both made sure to put distance between themselves and the investigator. Later in a drug-induced state, Michael was killed while he attacked a Mayfair witch named Rowan. It was a quick end to the investigation at that point but the Sanctuary kept eyes still focused on all events from the region. The next major event that took place was Cronan loosing Savage. Savage being a blood demon had been very useful to the Sanctuary of the 7 since its early development over 700 years before. In the course of events, Savage became very attached to the Vamps that he had met at Lestat�s Canyon Estate North of Los Angeles. One evening, Lestat called Savage from an oak tree in the front of the Estate. The words were spoken, and Lestat claimed the demon as his own, a fact that pleased the blood demon greatly. Cronan soon learned that his demon had left him, which caused him to seek further seclusion. Background Events: In the main story line, the ancients are on alert because of a series of simple and somewhat on-the-surface unrelated events. Event One was an attack on a mortal singer that had gone out back of Lestat's Satan's Sisters Club. The attack was by humans, a gang that in the violence gnawed at her and had vamperic strength (ingestion of small amounts of vampire blood induce a drug-like effect). The Second Event was a bewitching of Armand and Lestat. The two vamps, that evening, had been hitting the college district where they ran into two young women (witches). Not knowing this, the vampires asked the women back to the estate. The two women proceeded to seduce the vamps. This was not easy because Lestat was not interested. When each woman had a vamp alone they placed a necklace with a bewitching charm over the vamps' heads, and then quickly chanted a few words. The vamps were then paralyzed and could do nothing while the women each took 3 pints of their blood. The women left them for dead and disappeared. Event Three: Lestat and Armand set up the gang that was attacking in the area, and destroyed them. Lestat gave the remaining members of the gang to Armand. Lestat discovered that the gang�s leader was a warlock of a strange cult but the warlock himself committed suicide to prevent the vamps access to his knowledge. Event Four is the fact that 27 lesser vamps are missing so far this year. Currently: Cronan was found by Maharet in Miami, where he had disappeared to find shelter and seclusion. Cronan at that point was having horrible nightmares, due to the ingestion of the blood of Louis, Jesse and an Immortal named Angel. Each amount he ingested made the dreams worse. Maharet took him to Sonoma where she was trying to find a solution to his situation, knowing that the witch was actually Eric her firstborn. A visit from Lestat one night revealed that Eric was at Sonoma and that for some unexplainable reason, he was in a mortal body, not vamperic. Lestat was shocked. He returned to his own estate after being issued away by Maharet. In the course of a few days, Lestat began to go over the records and files that Marius had left with him after their meeting with Armand in Paris. In the files, Lestat discovered pictures of each of the witches he was searching for. It was then he noticed who Cronan was - Eric. At this point in the story line, Lestat has kidnapped Eric believing that the witch Cronan had enchanted Eric and Maharet. He intends to hold on to Cronan until he gets answers. He would have killed Cronan and taken the information by force, but due to an accident outside Sonoma, Cronan�s human body has been given the Dark Gift, by his mother, Maharet. This ends the current update on �The Witches Three�. Lestat This Tale will be updated as the storyline progresses. Added notes: Uses of blood: 1) ritual, 2) drug, 3) to induce a semi-vamperic state - depending on the blood used, this state can give a user vamperic speed, strength and the ability to read thoughts, and like a vampire, the user can also collect information from the blood they ingest. 4) To induce a lesser vamperic life. (This has not been done since Magnus.) |
