Main Story Line So Far:
The History...
The story begins in the '70s at a coven called the Sanctuary of the 7, a Sumerian Cult of witches in New York. Among the seven elders of the Sanctuary was a young man, Mordred Gallager. Mordred had proven himself well versed in the old rights, and as elder had been given charge of the Sanctuarys demon, a blood demon named Savage.  Mordred quested for power; he craved immortality, and was often known to use his computer skills to hack the Talamasca for whatever records and information they may have.

One day Mordred called the elders together.  He had words for the seven, a plan that was based on the findings he had pulled thru hacking the histories of the Talamasca. At this point Mordred had not enough info to go on, but he had learned that a vampire could be taken, and that their blood was very useful.  He had researched old spells and found one that could actually paralyze a vampire, even an ancient like Maharet or Lestat.. Mordreds plan was not well defined to the other six, but he ordered that the charm he had learned be taught to all of the apprentices of the sanctuary; this was done. Mordred continued to hack the Talamasca. In one series of study hacks he learned about the abilities of the body thieves.

Later, in the course of his studies and wanderings he found an Ancient that wandered the streets of NY as well:  Eric; the first born of the Ancient Maharet. One night after carefully stalking Eric for several weeks, Mordred used his amulet spell on the old vamp. The Dark Priest took Eric and locked him away in his secret chambers. He knew he did not have the powers himself to do a body switch, but wanted Erics vamperic form. He understood the powers of demons, so in a brainstorm he decided to approach Savage and ask for assistance.  Savage and he spoke, the demon was not able to do such, but the power of two demons and Mordred would. Learning this, Mordred called up a second demon, a female, named Skye. Skye taught him much and agreed to assist Mordred, but fell in love with Mordred, a mistake. The Dark Priest refused her affections. This angered her; she decided to act on her anger. During the transference spell, at the moment of the body thief switching, she took her revenge, taking the place in the switch.  At the moment of switch, Skye stole Erics vamperic abilities, and left him nothing but a blank empty human form, thus preventing Mordred from reaching his goal.  Mordred then had the body of Eric, a mortal, with a wiped memory.  Eric became known as Cronan Vandenburg. This ID was made up by Mordred to cover his mistake.  He trained Eric/Cronan in the ways of the sanctuary, told him he had been subject of an accident that had killed his aunt, leaving Eric/Cronan one living relative, an uncle, which was a brother of Mordred that had agreed to play this role.

Life went on; we are now in the late '80s of course, since Eric was taken in '87. At this time Mordred was getting older, he had taken an understudy, named Kehleb de'Faye, his second understudy was Cronan.  This upset another understudy named Michael Devonwood had failed second chair because of an error he had made in translating a series of Sumerian text. Thus the witches three, united in a sense under Mordred, were Michael, Cronan and Kehleb.

In the '90s, Mordred came before the elders with a plan once more. As chief understudy, Kehleb had stolen The Book of Magnus from the Talamascas New York Motherhouse. Kehleb did not let Mordred know all that he knew from this stolen material. The understudy did share enough that Mordred called the elders together with a new plan. Mordred proposed that the seven elders should be vamperic; he wanted to change them as Magnus had changed himself. The six other elders refused to agree to this and spoke out against it avidly. Angry and determined, Mordred left the coven, taking his chief understudy, Kehleb and his assistant understudy, Cronan, with him. The three of them resettled in Los Angeles where they organized a coven network using street punks and lesser Witch covens..
