Nate arrived in Oakridge to kidnap Megan Sterling, under the orders of his dangerous boss Michael DiCenzo, the husband of Nate's lover, Loretta. However, things went wrong and Nate ended up taking Carrie instead, and the pair went on the run from DiCenzo, who wants Nate dead for having an affair with Loretta, and Carrie dead for being a witness...
They managed to escape DiCenzo killing them and now are trying to make a life together in Oakridge after they fell in love, but Nate has soon realized that slotting into Carrie's peaceful suburban life was going to be harder than he thought. Now having to contend with disapproving family members, Nate also learned that keeping his past at bay was going to her be harder than he thought.
Carrie's insistance that Nate open up to her about his past has proved a major source of friction in their relationship, but Nate is beginning to realize that they can only have the same fight so many times before they begin to fall apart. |
