Kyle arrived in Oakridge after his sister, Carrie, gave birth to his first nephew, Adam. He's an all round nice guy who just wants a happy, uncomplicated life, something almost unheard of in Oakridge. Kyle fell for pregnant teen Natalie Denman and tried to make their relationship work despite the fact she was pregnant with another guy's child and the fact that the unborn baby's father, Leo Sterling, was meddling in their relationship and making Natalie's life hell.
However, Kyle soon realized that Natalie and Leo were growing closer again following the birth of their daughter, Grace, and ended their relationship. He tried to be there for Natalie when Grace passed away, but she soon left town.
