images from title sequence
The late eighties saw the return of Lord Peter to the BBC, (co-produced with WGBH Boston) this time with Edward Petherbridge in the role. The new series focused on three of the "Harriet Vane" novels (none of which had featured in the "Carmichael" run). Also featured throughout the series were Harriet Walter as Harriet Vane, and Richard Morant as Bunter.
