Plowing Ditch for Water to Goldfield
The delivery of pipe for the Lida end of the water line was begun last Sunday and more was received Thursday. About enough for one mile is in each consignment. As soon as sufficient pipe is on hand to keep the gang laying it, that part of the work will be commenced.
A five inch pipe will be laid between the springs and increased to seven and nine inches as it nears Goldfield.
The water, by the time it reaches Goldfield, will have a pressure that will be strong enough to knock down almost any building in the town, as the fall is said to be in the neighborhood of 800. A relief tank will be put up a few miles from the point of delivery to lighten the pressure, to some extent.
