Goldfield will have a country club.
In the office of George Von Polenz the Goldfield Hunt Club decided to change the name to the Goldfield Country Club. Membership enlarged and clubhouse and grounds secured. At present will have to place a restriction on membership as so many men are being put up for membership that the organization promises to become unwieldy.

Miner�s gun goes off accidentally when he was climbing out of the shaft. Shot in hip and walked one mile to cabin then fainted from blood loss.
Unless blood poisoning sets in he will recover. The bone of his thigh is splintered but it is not thought amputation will be necessary.

Born to Mrs. Oscar Olsen a 10 pound baby boy, mother and child doing fine. Mr. Olsen, the father, is the chief of the volunteer fire department and is setting them up to the boys in grand style. (first boy you know)

John L. Sullivan championship belt on display at the Mohawk saloon, Goldfield, Nevada.
It has 131/2 pounds of gold, 365 diamonds, valued at $410,000, presented to John L. Sullivan July 4, 1887.
Owl Train to Los Angeles
To Los Angeles in 18 hours from Goldfield and in either a reclining chair  in car or buffet sleeping car without change. It does not seem possible but it�s true.

District  Attorney Swallow recommends Buck�s release.
No complaint has been filed and people of Mina show sympathy. District attorney states that Buck could not be convicted in any court in the land on the evidence against him

Four mule team left this morning for Rawhide with a stage load of passengers, The camp is attracting a great deal of attention from Mining men because of rich strikes made by leasers.

Labor agitator Paddy Mullianey shot Vincent St. John, twice in the wrist, once in the upper arm.
