�Do not be afraid.� It whispered to her as she stood slowly. �I will not hurt you.�
There was nothing around them, just her and the bird. Cassie examined him closely, focusing on the large, purple eyes. �You�re Selene�s bird�� she whispered.
�My name is Cyprus.� the raven nodded. �I am the guardian of the Zodiac Senshi.�
�Zodiac Senshi?� Cassie asked.
�It will all be explained in time.� Cyprus reached into the fold of his wing with his beak and pulled out something small and silver. �But for now�Take this!�
He dropped the silver thing into Cassie�s hands. It was a silver ring, very plain, with a golden symbol on it. Cassie had seen it before, it was the symbol that represented the Zodiac Sign Libra, drawn on in amber. �What is�?�
�Put it on.� Cyprus urged. �And hurry! Selene needs your help!�
�Selene�?� Cassie suddenly put it all together. �You mean�that girl, Sailor Gemini, is�Selene?!�
�Exactly.� Cyprus began to disappear into the fog. �Now put it on, and hurry!�
Cassie slipped the ring onto her right hand. The smoke was swirling and surrounding her, blocking her eyes�
�Gemini Twins!�
Cassie opened her eyes sleepily. The raven was hovering just above her, cawing wildly, and, to her surprise, there were two Sailor Geminis converging for an attack. They brought their scythes down at the same time and cut an X shape into the monster. He remained separate a moment, then re-combined again.
The first Gemini landed, and the second came back down on top of her. They re-combined instantly, looking a little drained. �What does it take to kill this thing?!� she sighed, frustrated.
�Just hang on!� Cyprus called, hovering over his head. �Cassie, use the ring!�
Cassie looked down. The silver ring was sitting right there on her finger, and somehow she knew what to do.
�Libra Star Power!� she cried, throwing her hand into the air.
The sign of Libra shown behind her on black as her body was covered in a gold light and she folded her hands over her chest. A bright gold ribbon wrapped around her body and flashed away. When she lifted her arms straight out, she was wearing a black bodysuit, gold skirt dotted with black stars, a golden collar with the same black stars and a yellow bow with a black star broach. There was a yellow chocker around her neck with a small black star in the middle. Two gold ribbons wrapped around her arms and flashed into elbow-length black gloves ending with a gold ring. Two more ribbons tied around her legs and flashed into ballerina-like slippers with golden yellow ribbons tied up her legs.
Shimmering into existence, like a ghost, was a golden scale on a long, gold chain. She gripped the chain and whipped it around, lifting it above her head so the scales hung just about elbow-level.
Gemini scrambled back from the creature, but both stopped when they saw the flash of gold light. �Whats is this, nows?� the mud monster asked.
The blonde-haired girl had one hand in a fist over her head and the other almost straight down at her side, holding the chain of her scales, which hung down to her knees with the other end of the chain dragging on the ground.
"The Balance between good and evil has been disturbed!� she said, calm and even with a strange kind of power. �I, Sailor Libra, Zodiac Scout of the eternal balance, am here to tip back the scales!"
�Libra�� Gemini whispered, surprised, then her lips spread into a smile. �Cyprus was right! She�s another Zodiac Senshi!�
Libra seamed a little shocked at the words that had come out of her own mouth, and now had both hands around her own throat in surprise. �What�What is this?!� she gasped, gazing at her new outfit.
�I told you, not now.� Cyprus soothed.
�Yeah, we�ve got a mess to clean up.� Gemini called up. �Please tell me you�ve got something to help out here!�
�I�m not�sure�� Libra muttered, looking down. She looked between Selene�s weapon and her own, thinking bitterly. �A scale? She gets a scythe, sure that�s helpful, but I�ve got scales? What�s the point of that?!�
