Matricies

Ooh..just the thought makes my head spin. First, let's duscuss what a matrix is. A matrix is like a tic-tac-to board, but filled with numbers
5 2 7
4 9 7
4 3 0
A sample matrix
But how do you enter this into the TI-86? Look at the parenthesis keys ( and ), just above the 8 and 9. If you press [2nd] and then the parenthisis, you get a bracket. Brackets are used on the 86 to define, or create, matricies. Here's a simple syntax for our sample:

How to enter a matrix

Note: to begin a matrix, you need a bracket AND to begin a new row you need a breacket. The same goes for ending a matrix or row. Each number, or cell, is seperated by a comma.
