Exponents, the CATALOG, MATH menu

Exponents
Let's say you need to find 12 squared. You would type:
12^2 or 122 and either way, the answer is "144".
Now, if you needed 4 cubed, you'd type:
4^3 and press enter. (Answer=64).
We know the square-root key ([2nd], [x2]) and a number gives the square root, but what about a cube root? That is found in the...

Catalog
You access the catalog by pressing [2nd], [CUSTOM] and then choosing "CATLG", [F1]. Now, you can press any key with a blue letter above it to go to that letter in the list. Press [A]. Now, press and hold the UP key until the cursor is selecting the x-root symbol. It's a small x in front of the square-root. With it selected, press ENTER. The symbol is pasted to the screen.

You just selected something from the catalog.
Now that you know how to choose something from the catalog, let's solve our math problem.
First, clear the screen. Now, type in 3, for CUBED root. Now go back into the catalog and choose the cube-root function. When it is pasted on the screen, type a number, such as 27 and press enter. The aswer is given.
