Tokio Hotel - the band and the boys The Story So Far: At a young age, twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz started making music and performing small shows before meeting up with Gustav Sh�fer and Georg Listing., forming the band Devilish in 2001. From 2001 and on, they performed in talent shows and small-time concerts, eventually getting approached by Peter Hoffman of Sony BMG Company in 2003 after Bill lost in the quarter-finals of Star Search(Star Search is a one person only competition, kind of like American Idol), but soon after the first album was made, Sony terminated their contract when they signed on to Universal Records. At that point, they changed their name to Tokio Hotel and debuted their first album 'Schrei' and gained popularity in Germany. Even though they had gained popularity, they decided to take a break. They left the stage for two years, eventually coming back when they were a little older and better equipped to handle their fame. In February of 2007, they released another album, called 'Zimmer 483', climbing the charts to number one in Germany. They've also released an English album, called 'Scream' a little after the release of Zimmer 483; 'Room 483' a similar, but Europe-only release of Scream. On 06 May, 2008, they released 'Scream' into the states and are currently working on a new album, said to be released in Spring/Summer 2009.
