Mary: Greetings Elizabeth!
(Elizabeth holds her abdomen as she feels the baby leap at the sound of Mary's voice).
Elizabeth: Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how am I so blessed that the mother of my Lord should visit me? For as soon as I heard your voice, my babe leaped in my womb for joy!
Mary: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden, and from now on all generations shall call me blessed, and his mercy is on them that fear him. He has taken hold in turn of his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever.
(Mary and Elizabeth Sing) I will magnify the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. I will magnify the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. Hosanna, blessed be the rock, blessed be the rock of our salvation. Hosanna, blessed be the rock, may the God of our salvation be exhalted.
Man:Now Mary was to be married to a man named Joseph, but the wedding had not been completed yet.; So, when she was found with child, he could have made a public example of her. But being a just man, he thought to end the marriage privately. And one evening as he was thinking and holding the talit, you know the head covering Mary made for him, Joseph fell asleep and the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.
Gabriel:Joseph, Son of David, don't be afraid to take Mary for your wife, because that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall have a son, and you will call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins. Put on your wedding garment and take your wife.
(When Joseph wakes up he realizes the dream, he is excited and says...)
Joseph: I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his Holy Hill. I laid me down and slept, and I awoke for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten-thousand people that have set themselves against me round about.Salvation belongs to the Lord, Your blessing is upon your people.
(Joseph now does as Gabriel instructed him and taking the wedding garment he spreads it over his head and shoulders, and exits the room).
