Special Notes:
- The Queen of Coquitlam often operates as a regluar vessel on the Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay route.
- The Queen of Coquitlam is an almost identical sister ship of the Queen of Cowichan. Other C-Class vessels are Queen of Alberni, Queen of Oak Bay, and Queen of Surrey.
- The Queen of Coquitlam has the ability to fully load the ferry from the bottom car deck if needed. A ramp on one side of the lower car deck can be raised to connect the upper and lower car decks.
- The Queen of Coquitlam underwent major changes during her mid-life refit in 2003. The cafeteria was expanded, the seating arrangements were changed (no longer 6-8 seats facing each other but rows of 3-4 seats facing the same way to optimize space), the size of the gift shop was doubled, the elevator was extended to reach the top passenger deck, and the ferry was equipped with four evacuation chute systems (replacing the traditional davit/inflatable raft system still used on most ferries). She was also nicely repained in the new colors! (see bottom of the page for photo after refit)
