Rollig's Dur-katlimmu Analysis

In 1991, Freydank (BCMG, 42) reported that Rollig has identified the following sequence from Dur-Katlimmu eponyms:

Serrija

Assur-kasid

Assur-kasid

Assur-musabsi<Iddin-mer*

Assur-musabsi<Anu-musallim

Assur-musabsi<Anu-musallim

Qibi-assur<Samash-aha-iddina

Qibi-assur<Silli-marduk*

Ina-pi-assur-lislim

Musallim-assur

Ber-sumu-lesir

Ittabsi-den-assur

Libur-zanin-assur

Libur-zanin-assur

Assur-nadin-pal

Urad-ilani

Etel-pi-assur=>

Usur-namkur-sarrui =>

Assur-bel-ilani

Assur-bel-ilani

Abi-ili

Sulmanu-suma-usur

Assur-iddin - a definite TN1 person - is attested as sukallu rabi'u in eponym Assur-mušabši<Iddin-mer, which would definitely place this eponym in mid-TN1, rather early Shalmaneser 1, and, to this extent, this sequence is provably flawed.

In 1995, Rollig[1] reported that three Qibi-assur eponyms had been identified and asserted that Qibi-assur<Ibassi-ili was dateable to year 12 or year 18 of TN1, with one of the other two eponyms attributable to year 2 TN1.  The two asterisked items have been re-allocated to TN1 in this analysis, but, otherwise, the sequence is used.  Note that there is a considerable length of time between Musallim-assur and Ittabsi-den-assur (virtually the entire well-defined late Shalmaneser sequence).  Analysis of the TN1 eponyms is planned, but is in progress.
