Professor Binns~

Professor Armando Dippet~ Previous Headmaster of Hogwarts. He was headmaster when Tom Riddle III was a student. Dippet was wizened and frail-looking, bald except for a few wisps of white hair.

Dobby~

Albus Dumbledore~ Albus Dumbledore is a tall, thin man with waist length silverhair and beard. He has blue eyes and wears half-moon spectacles perched on a crooked nose. Before Dumbledore became headmaster of Hogwarts, he was the Transmogrification Professor. Enjoys knitting patterns, when Dumbledore looks in the Mirror of Erised, he sees himself receiving the gift of socks. His favorite flavor of jam is raspberry.

Argus Filch~

Firenze~ Centaur with white/blond hair and a palomino body, he has astonishingly blue eyes like sapphires. He was asked by Dumbledore to teach Divination after Dolores Umbridge fired Professor Trelawny. For agreeing to do so, Firenze was banished from the herd of centaurs living in the Forbidden Forest.

Professor Flitwick~ A tiny little wizard who has to stand on a pile of books to see over his desk. He is the Charms professor and head of Ravenclaw House.

Madam Hooch~ Flying Instructor and Quidditch referee. Madame Hooch has short, spiky gray hair and cat-like eyes.

Gilderoy Lockhart~ Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defense League and five time winner of "Witch Weekly"'s most Charming Smile Award. Lockhart's favorite color is Lilac which he mentions in Year with the Yeti. His ideal birthday gift as mentioned in Wanderings with Werewolves would be harmony between all magic and non-magic peoples, though he wouldn't say no to a large bottle of Odgen's Old Firewhiskey. His secret ambition is to rid the world of evil and market his own range of hair-care potions. Lockhart is a publicity buff and was thought of for some time by many witches to be quite handsome. He taught at Hogwarts in Harry's second year as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He himself states he was quite talented at memory charms, which was how he wiped the memories of the witches and wizards whom he stole his stories from. Due to Ron's wand having been broken by the whomping willow, Lockhart's attempt to wipe Harry and Ron's memories backfired and now Lockhart resides in the long-term wing at St. Mungo's where he still receives fan mail but does not understand why.

Remus Lupin~

Minerva McGonagal~ Head of Gryffindor House, she is also the Transmogrification professor at Hogwarts. She is a registered Animagus and an active member of the Order of the Phoenix. McGonagal is also Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts and acts as Dumbledore's second. She is a strict but fair teacher and treats all students with the expectations and reactions. She spent some time in St. Mungo's Hospital after being hit with no fewer than 4 stunning spells at the same time while trying to defend Hargid from being taken to Azkaban in Book 5; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix but she recovered fully from the incident.

Galatea Merrythought~ Was a teacher at Hogwarts for nearly 50 years, Merrythought was the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher when Voldemort was a student.

Alastair "Mad Eye" Moody~

Phineas Nigellus~ Sirius Black's great-great-grandfater, he was the least popular headmaster that Hogwarts ever had. His painting still hangs in the Headmaster's office as well as at 12 Grimmauld Place.

Og~ Gamekeeper before Hagrid took the job.

Polly Pomphrey~

Apollyon Pringle~ Caretaker before Argus Filch. Was employed when Arthur and Molly Weasley were students at Hogwarts.

Professor Horace E. F. Slughorn~ An enormously fat, bald old man with prominent eyes and an enourmous silver walrus-like mustache; Slughorn is shorter than Dumbledore and has very short legs, a weak chest, a wheeze and rheumatism. He is younger than Dumbledore, but his exact age is not given. He has Gooseberry colored eyes. When he was a younger man he had straw colored hair.

Salazar Slytherin~

Severus Snape~ Snape was potions teacher for Harry's first five years at Hogwarts, afterwhich time he became the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for Harry's sixth year. Snape had been aspiring to attain that position for some time. Snape was a Death Eater, though according to Dumbledore changed sides and acted as a spy for the Order of the Phoenix. Snape has greasy black hair, a hooked nose and sallow skin. Snape cast Avada Kadavra on Dumbledore at the end of Book 6, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and then fled the grounds. He has the dark mark imprinted on his arm. He is the son of Tobias Snape, a muggle and Eileen Prince, a witch. He termed himself "The Half-Blood Prince" because of his half-blood status and his mother's maiden name. Snape's whereabouts are currently unknown.

Professor Sprout~

Sybill Trelawny~ Granddaughter of ______________, one of the most reknowned seers of her time. Sybill approached Albus Dumbledore for a position as a teacher at Hogwarts in a room at the ??? pub. Dumbledore was about to gently tell here no when she gave her 1st true vision; the prophecy which stated: "QUOTE PROPHECY HERE". Dumbledore gave her the post of professor of Divination upon hearing the prophecy. In her tenure at Hogwarts it has only been witnessed that one other true prophecy was made, "QUOTE FROM BOOK 3". She has a fondness for cooking sherry and insense. As of Book 5; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, her employment was terminated by Delores Umbridge and she was only reinstated as a teacher the following year as of which time she shares the teaching position with the centaur Firenze who was hired to replace her in Year 5.
