DIY Linear Fit

This Website offers a tool that you can use in order to fit linear model to your experimental data. It is a misfortune that many physics students use Spreadsheet software (such as Excel) for the analysis of their experimental results. It gets even sadder when Excel is used to present the results in lab reports. DIY Linear Fit can help you do better!
It is a tool that you can use in order to fit linear model to your experimental data, by manually adjusting the slope and intersection. You can also find the uncertenties in these parameters
DIY Linear Fit was writen for physics students. It can serve both high-school and undergrduate students.
You can load your experimental data in the form of a four columns Tab delimited text file using "Choose File" and then "Load" buttons, or you can just type in your data in the designated table and then press Plot. Your data should appear nicely on the graph, with error-bars that represent your experimental uncertenties.
Use the rulers to adjust the slope and intersection of the blue line until you achieve your best fit. Set the labels and the units of the axis, and your graph is ready for presentation. Save it as a picture and put in your lab report.
