Christian City Church in Kingscliff just south of Tweed Heads had been announced approval for a $1.1 million grant to upgrade a creche and performing arts centre as part of their church.

*11. Time there AND date of visit: (Unlike every other church listed, I did NOT PERSONALLY attend this church. This entry is listed here as an example of how you can incorporate 5 services into one church. What happened was this, I attended Hume St Church of Christ Sep 2002 and a couple in that congregation used to come from the Woolongong Church who invited the Pastor to speak there that morning. I introduced myself to the Pastor after church.) 12. Length of service: -.

This and other service times: There are 5 services at this church with 5 completely different congregations. 7 pm Saturday night is for young families with 100 people, 8am Sunday is for traditional Anglicans; 10am Sunday is for Family; 5pm Sunday is for young teenagers; 7pm Sunday is for older youth.
**14. Preacher: Senior Minister (Rector) Rod Irvine. Wife Helen half teaches at the Uni. Rod has a Methodist background and is from Brisbane. He studied at Moore Theological College. The Uniting church wanted him to study more units so he switched to the Anglican church. Rod has 6 degrees and used to be a Physicist. (Master of Business, teaching degrees, science degrees included.) There are 17 part and full time staff at church. 15. Feeling of building: -.

Rod said "Woolongong is a blue collar or working class town and our church is not that but the charismatic pastors there have and are orientating their churches to very much cater for this group of people." 17.
