All about Disco Computer:
Formed in Melbourne Australia back in late 2006, Disco Computer
is a band that wears it's heart on it's sleeve, and that heart is 80's club music. Presenting a collection of originals, as well as some of the best Dance Music from the 70's and 80's, Disco Computer aims to get your heart pumping and your feet moving.
Disco Computer is Monika Ciura on Vocals & Tony Irvine on Vocals & Synth. Monika has a voice equally at home performing tunes such as Donna Summer's sultry electro classic "I feel love" as she is belting out an original (& possible future classics) such as "I found you".
But also hard at work is the sounds provided by Tony Irvine. In an age dominated by VSTs and plug ins, it's refreshing to see an authentic (and indeed ancient) 80's synth setup in the mix. Programmed with an actual hardware setup dominated by 80's synths, samplers and drum machines from Roland, Ensoniq & Kawaii equipment (and NOTHING newer than 1988), then recorded into cool edit pro to take the setup live.
