A.R.Rahman leaves impression
Musical wizard A.R.Rahman was the chosen celebrity for the Walk of Fame, a unique concept at the DVD shop Cinema Paradiso, Chennai. After Kamal Hassan and Mani Rathnam it was A.R.Rahman who imprinted his hands and marked his footprints at Cinema Paradiso at a select gathered function yesterday. Rahman who had just returned from Shangai after completing the Chinese film Tian Di Ying Xiong (Warriors of Heaven and Earth) arrived the shop 10 minutes ahead of schedule. After leaving his lasting impression and launching the DVD section for music videos he rushed to the airport to catch the flight for Mumbai.
Actor Sibi Raj, son of Sathyaraj, actress Shamilee, Minmini, Deepan Chakravarthy and a host of singers attended the function. "Like Mani sir, Rahman also showed keen interest in the World Cinema section", said Santhosh, one of the promoters of the shop. |
