| New York 2002 |
| Up on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building you really can feel the building sway in the breeze, but especially on the 80th floor watching the other skyscrapers coming in and out of view of the windows while waiting for the final elevator. I thought it was nowhere near as bad as the Fernsehturm in Berlin, so I loved every minute of my time on the observation deck. If you visit New York, make this one of the first things you do when you get there (as long as it's not a weekend when the queues are longest), we did it last, so I spent a lot of time in New York feeling like I hadn't done anything spectacular yet. Also, if you're wondering where all the British Tourists are - they're all here. Notice the Chrysler Building and the East River in the background. |
