| New York 2002 |
| Well, there's twelve pages of New York and Philadelphia photos, use the arrows above to navigate through them, obviously. Also if you want to take a closer look at any of the photos on any of these pages, just click on the pic and you will see the full size version. The top picture is of an Air France jet somewhere mid-Atlantic and, seemingly, in a far greater hurry than us to get to the States. We flew through their vapour trail a short while later and experienced a little turbulence as we did so. We stayed with my friend Chris in New Brunswick, New Jersey while we were over there, so we took the train into Penn Station every day that we were in Manhattan. This approaches New York under the ground so our first impression of the city was of the taxis and traffic on Seventh Avenue and the tall buildings either side, just round the corner is the Empire State Building, so first impressions of New York blew me away for a few minutes. Then we went a-wanderin', the other photo is the front of Grand Central Station - the world's largest rail terminus. I took photos of the grandiose entrance hall with the constellations picked out in the ceiling by spotlights, but these didn't come out unfortunately. |
