The University of Venda takes pleasure in inviting you to a two day conference aimed at examining issues of "racial", gender, "ethnic" and cultural difference and their relationship to oppression.

The conference will be preceded by an excursion.

Significance of Conference

The conference will bring together scholars from a wide range of disciplines. It is envisaged that this and the wide range of papers presented will assist participants in formulating new ways of looking at, and dealing with racism and cultural difference and in so doing enrich extant debates on this issues.

The conference should prove interesting and invaluable to:

  • Researchers and post-graduate students in the Social Sciences, Humanities and Health Sciences
  • Policy makers dealing with issues of racism, and gender, "race", "ethnic" and cultural difference.
