SEWBBA CONTEST 2018
At the South East Wales Brass Band Association contest held at the Willows High School Cardiff on Saturday April 28th, the band achieved 2nd place, a fantastic result following the disappointment of the Welsh Regional Contest.Verona Lights by Bruce Fraser was the own choice music selected for the contest. Due to the unavailability of our regular musical director, the band took to the stage with guest conductor Andrew Jones.
Born and brought up in Llangyndeyrn, having started his banding career at a young age with Crwbin, the result would have been particularly pleasing for Andrew. Needless to say, the band members were thrilled with the result and testimony to the hard work and commitment put in at rehearsals by everyone.
