.::Chapter Five::. //The Pain…The Suffering\\
Megan was startled when the door to his trailer practically flew off the hinges. Someone yelled to her “Clear the bed!” It was eleven thirty at night, Melissa was sleeping on Orlando’s bed. Not wanting to back up
whatever was so urgent, she gently scooped up the baby.
She went and watched what had everyone in such a panic. Orlando was brought in on a stretcher. Orlando looked up at the on-set nurse. “It’s okay, leave me with Megan, she’s a doctor.” Orlando managed to groan.
Pissed off, the staff left Orlando’s trailer. Megan looked at him. “What did you do to yourself?”
“Got thrown off the horse, Meg.” Orlando replied, raising his arms, beckoning for Melissa. “Come on, you can’t hold on to her while you examine me.”
Megan raised an eyebrow and then placed Melissa near him. “You’re going to have to sit up and take off your shirt, Orlando.” He was still wearing his elf ears and his wig, but he was out of costume. There were terribly large bruises on his sides. Gingerly, she put her fingers on them.
Orlando winced and made a slight whimpering sound. “Gently please…”
“I am being gentle.” Megan replied, looking at Orlando. “Other side, stand up so I can get a good look.”
“I can’t get up, you’ll have to come around.” Orlando replied.
“That’s impossible, there’s not enough space.” Megan replied, looking at the arrangement of the room.
“Then, you’ll have to come across me.” Orlando replied. Megan raised a brow and sat onto his lap, not looking at Orlando’s bruised skin, but at Orlando’s face.
The door opened. “Orlando are yo- MEGAN!”
“Oh, hi Viggo.” Megan replied, startled. “He’s bruised his ribs. They’ll be sore for a while, but he’ll be fine.”
“Oh, checking for his bruised ribs are you?” Viggo asked.
“Viggo, relax. She was doing exactly that.” Orlando replied. Viggo was gathering all of Megan’s things and handing them to Megan, then giving Melissa to her.
“Go on to my trailer and wait for me.” Viggo replied. Megan glared at Viggo as she walked out.
“What’s that all about, Vig?” Orlando asked incredulously. He found his shirt and put it on, slowly getting up.
“I don’t want you getting too close to her. I don’t want you to hurt her.” Viggo replied.
“You’re nobody to tell her what to feel, Vig.” Orlando answered.
“If that’s so, tell her the truth before our film break.” Viggo replied.
That silenced him.

Viggo put extensive security measures on Megan’s interaction with Orlando. A week into staying with his young cousin kept him quite manic when it came to any relative distance to Orlando. After very willingly giving her sister back to her mother’s newly instated nanny, Megan was on a sort of probationary measure that kept her in Viggo’s room for a majority of the time.
It was getting close to noon time, and that would mean the actors come back to their rooms to sleep, eat, do whatever. Viggo never came back to the room, nowhere close, so Megan was surprised when something flew under the crack between the floor and the door. She put her medical journals down to retrieve it.
Megs,
Vig’s probably got you under his very painfully watchful eye. I want to see you tonight. Feels like we haven’t just sat down and talked for years. Tell Viggo you’ll be going for a walk.
Orlando
“Yes, pull that off. How does he expect me to do that?” Megan said, throwing her hands up in the air. She sighed and occupied herself with more reading.
Evening came and went and Megan found herself waking next morning with her face completely buried in her study. “I’m completely suing Viggo for this.” She replied. She looked at the time and hearing Viggo still sleeping in his bedroom, she decided to make up for missing Orlando completely last night.
Taking the effort to shower and find some clothes, she spent about half an hour primping and then the other half of the hour swearing at herself for taking that much time into primping.
She scampered down the hall since Viggo was still sleeping and gently rapped at Orlando’s door. Her thoughts wandered and she failed to hear the giggling behind the door until it finally opened. Standing in the door was a curly haired blonde, wearing what looked to be one of Orlando’s large shirts and Orlando behind her.
Orlando looked away from the girl and at Megan. “Shit. Megs.”
Megan, unaware that she was glaring, replied. “Shit indeed. Just be glad Viggo’s sleeping. He’d have you both killed.” This would have been funny had she not been wearing her incredibly angry face. “He does carry his sword everywhere.”
“Megan…Meg, I was going to tell you last night!” Orlando called, walking out of his hotel room, in his boxers.
“Oh go fuck yourself.” Megan replied. “British bastard.”
Orlando trudged back into his hotel room. (Being a fairly biased author, I’ll refer to his girlfriend as the Skank.) Even his Skank couldn’t keep him occupied.
Megan went back into the hotel room and began to pack her things. Viggo had just arisen and was sitting on the sofa eating a croissant. “Leaving?”
“Getting ready to. I’m leaving tomorrow.” Megan cried.
“Megs,” Viggo started, “don’t go, Billy and Dom need someone to draw their attention away from causing accidents on the set.”
“If you want to know why I’m leaving, you can find out tomorrow before I board the plane.” Megan replied. “Now, I have a lot of reading to do.”
Viggo muttered something. “No, no reading. Come on, I’ve had you cooped up in here for days. Let’s go surfing.”
“Thank GOD. You’re finally speaking my language, Vig.” Megan replied. “It’ll help me clear my head.”
“If you keep it before the sharks come.” Viggo grinned.

Orlando sighed. Thinking about this reaction was not what he had planned. He planned for a simple talk in his room, telling Megan that he had a girlfriend. He thought that she’d be fine with it, having been away from him for so long and all. But…apparently, she reacted differently this morning and he had a feeling she would’ve acted the same way that night.
He looked out his window at the ocean view. He saw two figures running out on the sand. “Vig and Megs.” He muttered.
The Skank sat on his lap. “What was that?”
Orlando looked at her, and was suddenly repulsed. “Ah, nothing. Maybe you should go down to the sauna. I’ll join you later. I, I just need to think.”
She smiled a saccharine grin for him and went to the bathroom to change.
He never went down to the sauna.
He spent three hours watching Megan unsuccessfully teach Viggo how to surf, and then stared at the wall until long into the night. He didn’t even hear anyone come in…
