.::Chapter Fourteen::. //Talk show Circuits\\
After the “meeting” Dom and Billy decided to be constant guests to the Hartl manor. Orlando was out today doing talk shows and he was on some BBC2 show that Megan watched now and again.
Dom and Billy sitting on either side of Megan watched Orlando with delight and added commentary while Megan tried to keep Melissa occupied.
“Ohhoo they just asked him who Melissa was!” Billy said sitting on the edge of his seat. Megan took interest now.
“That’s not my daughter, although I wish she was. That’s my girlfriend’s little sister. Honest to God.” Orlando replied.
“Your girlfriend eh? How long have you been seeing her?” The host asked.
“For about six months now. I’ve known her for a year before we started dating though.” Orlando said.
“Is somebody feeling special now? I think someone’s feeling special.” Dom said, elbowing Megan. She just looked at him and made a face, laughing.
“Any long term plans with her?” The host asked.
Dom and Billy watched Megan’s face to see what Orlando would say. “More than we’ve discussed.” He said vaguely.
“Oh really? Like?” The host prodded.
“Well she’s watching and I know, I just know you’ve got her interest now with these questions. My girl Megs, she knows that I love her. Right Megs?”
He asked looking directly into the camera, grinning. Dom nudged Megan some more. “And, my plans that I have yet to propose them to her.”
“God you’re vague, Orlando.” Megan said, unable to contain her grin. “Isn’t he vague?”
Dom just stared at her. “Uh, sure.”
“We know something you don’t know.” Billy chanted. “Oops…hey Dom! I heard there’s a new coffee shop in Picadilly.”
Megan and Billy looked at them wide eyed. “Guys!” She whined. “Come on…tell me!” She ran after Dom and Billy and scampered out the door.
“You’ll find out.” One of them said gleefully.
Megan lay down on the sofa, Melissa napping quietly on her chest as she drifted off to sleep. Something very wet touched her forehead as she slept.
Opening her eyes she saw who it was. “Orly.”
“Did you watch the show?” Orlando asked.
“Most of it. I fell asleep after Dom and Billy left.” Megan replied.
“I bought curry take-away.” Orlando said, grinning. “Come on.”
“Why are you home so late?” Megan asked. “I mean, curry take-away doesn’t take up that much time.”
“I had to pick a few other things up. They’re still in my car.” Orlando replied.
With Melissa still sleeping in a playpen in the kitchen, Orlando and Megan decided to eat at the breakfast table. It was a lot more cozy and considering Orlando had been out the whole day, it was good for the both of them. “So what was all of that about on the show?”
“Hmm?” Orlando asked. “All of what?”
“Future plans?” Megan asked. Orlando looked confused. She had to remember that this boy was an actor. “That you were going to pro…oh.”
Orlando grinned at her, kissing her cheek. “Megan, milady. Would you do me the honor of being my wife?” He asked, getting on his knees.
“Of course.” Megan smiled. He took the ring and put it on her delicate finger, kissing her forehead as he stood up.
“I had to try and remember your ring size. That’s what took the longest time.” Orlando said.
“Aha…” Megan replied. “I’m going to call Viggo. I’ll give him a very nice introduction so that he won’t have a heart attack on me.” She got up and went to the phone, dialing Los Angeles. Orlando standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her. “Viggo?
“Megan! Hey!” He said excited.
“How are you? What time is it there?” Viggo asked.
“It’s about…eight in the evening.” Megan replied. “And I’m perfectly fine right now. And you?”
“I’m good. Tell Orlando he better get his ass to the reshoot on-time.” Viggo said.
“Vig says to get your ass to the reshoot on-time, Orly.” Megan relayed. “Hey are you sitting down?”
“Yes.” Viggo replied. “Lying down actually. Why?”
“Because, Orlando proposed to me.” Megan said quickly. She heard a loud THUD and Viggo swearing.
Orlando could hear this and could barely contain his laughter. “I think he’s taking it well.”
“Sorry, the news was so exciting I hit myself on the headboard.” Viggo replied “Say that again, slowly.”
“Orlando. Proposed. To. Me.” Megan replied.
“Got that this time, Vig?” Orlando said trying to talk into the headset.
“Wow. When?” Viggo asked.
“Just..er. now.” Megan replied. “You were the first person that came to mind that I should tell.”
“Aw I feel special now.” Viggo said, laughing. “Alright…I’ll make it my job to tell the rest of the family?”
“Um.” Megan said.
“Oh pleeease?” He asked. “I’m trying to get back to New Zealand time here, I have absolutely nothing to do.”
“Alright! Alright!” Megan laughed. “Fine.”
“I expect to see you down there with Orlando, missy.” He said.
“Yes, Vig. I’ll be down there.” Megan replied. “I was about to say I could use some surfing but I forgot that it’s winter already.”
“Oh damn it all. We have to pack. When are we doing the reshooting for Two Towers?” He asked.
“Vig says in three days.” Megan replied.
“Oh bugger.” Orlando left Megan on the phone and ran downstairs to get their luggage out of the storage.
“He might have to be down there anyway to do looping for Ned Kelley.” Megan said. “And then we’re going back here. He’s got Calcium Kid and then after that shoot we’ll be heading to L.A.”
“Sounds pretty packed.” Viggo said thoughtfully. “When will you squeeze in the wedding?”
“Vig…you’re sounding a lot more worried about me getting married than I am. Stop.” Megan replied. “I don’t know anyway, we’ll have to talk about it. We’ve got a nice practically…24 hour flight ahead of us, we can talk about that and everything else in between. Don’t get a heart attack alright?”
Viggo laughed. “Fine. I’ll see you in a couple days. Congratulations.”
“Thanks.” Megan replied. “Bye Vig.”
Meanwhile, Orlando was upstairs going completely insane over the number of clothes that needed packing.
