*chapter2*

Getting out of the shower, emily grabbed a towel and continued to dance
around the bathroom and her room. Changing the music to justin timberlake's
new " cry me a river" she looked for some clothes. Emily accepted all music
she even liked country but not the honkey tonk country. Ruling out all other
music excpet for one genre didn't seem mature to her. But she let people do
what they wanted to... it is a free country after all.

Shaking her head when she looked through the closet. Finding a simple red t
shirt and a pair of long black jeans. Remembering it was raining outside she
wore and old pair of red converse. Cuffing the jeans alittle and grabbing a
peacoat styled raincoat, emily headed out the door, grabbing an umbrella
just incase.

Opening the umbrella she walked to work which was just a block away. No she
didn't have a car. She didn't see the point in one when she had a perfectly
good bike. Emily went for the simple things. No diamonds, no gold, no
expensive computer stuff. Now emily did have a computer it was a imac laptop
with a orange color covering ... etc.

Thinking and walking down the streets in South Carolina , emily smiled at
the life she had chosen. South Carolina was so peaceful and beautiful. She
always wanted to live here ever since she went on a vacation there from busy
home l.a. . She was glad she moved from L.A. even if it meant leaving her
family......

Life in L.A. had been rushed and complicated. Things always were in the fast
lane and Emily just wasn't ready or prepared for it. So she did a logical
thing.. she went to a place were time moves as fast as molasses. Plus the
food here was great, there were some cajun influences no matter how slight.

Reaching the door, emily pulled it open with a ding of a bell. She had asked
Frankie last night to open the shop earlier than usual, it was the begining
of christmas season. Walking in she dropped her umbrella in the stand and
took her coat and put it on the hanger.

Making her way to the counter, emily took in the shop like it was brand new
with all the christmas decorations. It wasn't a big shop... the size of a
large square. It was big enough to hold numorous books and a coffee bar
along with a couple of purple couches and tables. The color of the place was
a pear green color, which came from the name Atomic pear. Yes a weird name
but it was Emily's favorite painting that she did. The place was littered
with large puffy couches and long wooden tables that were made of old doors.
Book shelves were painted a white/yellow color. And the wallpaper border was
green and dark green arguyle ( spell, i cannot).

A pear tree was put were the poetry corner was. Around the ceiling were
white christmas lights that dropped like icicles. The coffee bar weaved like
a snake from the poetry corner and on its counter were white lights as well.
The coffee bar was long and ended in a swirl and it was painted a deep
purple that matched the chairs.

Pulling out a stool from the bar, emily sat down with relief. There was
another corner by the poetry corner and that had a doorway. A door was never
placed there because it was Emily, Frankie, and Suzy's art gallery. In there
it was styled as an old spainsh home.

That room was colored a deep red and had many different and unique
decorations. Emily sighed at her place at the bar just as Frankie came out
of the bathrooms. It was going to be a long day.
