*chapter3*

Emily rapped her nails against the counter as she waited for the first
customer of the day. It had stopped raining and people were starting to
leave their houses again. A couple entered the shop along with a few others,
who were regulars. The couple went to the far side of the bar to order some
coffee, they then sat at a secluded booth.

Sighing, emily stared longingly at the couple. Looking away when Frankie
tapped her shoulder and motioned for her to see if they wanted anything
else. Slowly walking over to the couple, emily started to look at their
faces. The was a male, short, who had brownish hair. His eyes were covered
by black sunglasses and you could only tell his hair color because a few
wisps of hair were outside his beanie.
The woman seemed to be older, a little bit taller, with long blond hair. It
looked as if it were died many times. It was a bit dry. Her back was to
emily so she couldn't see the eye color.

Emily took a while getting menus and the drinks they had ordered earlier.
Watching them farther, she realised they were having a quiet fight. The guys
eyebrows were knit and his lips, pursed. The blond was shaking her head. She
started to gather her things and got up. The guy grabbed her hand but she
turned and walked away with her head down. As she walked by emily, emily
noticed sniffling. Looking over at the guy he had taken off his beanie and
had his head on the table with his hands midway through his hair.

It was going to be a long day for sure. Making her way over to the guy, she
decided she would try to help him....
Setting the tray on the table she handed him the drink he ordered. Or rather
placed it in front of him. Clearing her throat caused the young man to look
up. !!!!!

To see a lovely pair of green/brown/blueish eyes. The guy slightly smiled at
the coffee.

" um , I couldn't help but notice the little fight and I wondered if i could
help." Emily said to the stranger," My name is Emily O'Berry."
Emily stuck out her hand as the strangers smile widened.
" Hello, my name is... Dominic Monaghan." He paused as if expecting
something. Emily smiled and waited for him to start his story. Senseing this
he began..." That was Mary... we just broke up. Said i didn't give her
enough. Funny. And I had given her all I had. In the matters of love
anyways, maybe she wanted more."

Emily scrunched her nose at the story, then paused as she detected as slight
accent from some where european." So, are you from out of country, 'cause
you sound like you come from... England?or somewhere around there."

you thought it was going to be ELIJAH!!!!!!

"well actually I was born in europe, but further east, in germany."Dom said
matter - factly.
"Oh really! I was born in Ireland but was moved out at age nine to America."
Emily said. Dom looked a little suprised. He took in her appearance. Long
black hair put into a high bun, and a set of pear green eyes. Dom chuckled
to himself as he thought about the shops name. There was only one other
person he could think of that would come up with such a weird name, well
two.

Elijah and a childhood friend Emma. He had met Emma in a vacation to Ireland
with his parents. He had been eight while she was seven . They had had some
good times and he missed her dearly. Now that he looked at emily, it dawned
upon him.... it was EMMA!

Smiling widely he looked directly to look for a certain eye blot. It was
there! in her right eye there was a blot of a goldish color. " Emily i'm
going to say something too you and you might think i'm crazy , but just
humor me, okay?" Emily nodded as Dominic continued. "You wouldn't happen to
have a nickname of emma would you?"

Meanwhile, Emily searched her memory banks for any clue. The only person who
had called her was a boy nicknamed... mcdommy. Emily laughed quietly to
herself. She had called him that because she remembered him wanting to grow
up to be a farmer. Like old Mc donald.
" umm you wouldn't happen to be... Mcdommy, would you?" Emily asked very
nervously. To her suprise, Dominic started busting out laughing. Between
laughs she heard " that.... that's.... me....".

" I can't believe its you! I haven't seen you in what... 15 years... how are
you?!" Emily was glad she had found mcdommy. She remembered he used to be
her only friend.
" I've been fine! what about you.? when did you start this shop? where did
you go after vacation anyways... I tried to contact you." Dom started off
with happiness but it turned serious.

Emily's face darkend," My parents gave me up to foster care when we went to
America..." At the end she shivered remebering all that she had tryed to
forget. Noticing this Dominic, ehm Mcdommy, changed the subject.
" Have you gone to college? How did you get this place, what else are you
doing for money?"

" Well, when I turned 19 i was kicked out of foster care to one last family.
the Misory's all the was in L.A. Things there were too fast pace for me so I
moved here where I went to College and got a degree in Psychology, Botany,
art, and Russian. Then I felt my real love was in art and I started this
shop with some money that I had saved from working at barnes and noble
during college. I had worked there all four years. And the foster care had
given me some money to start on my own with. Frankie and Suzy were
immigrants who needed a good job and who could paint so I hired them our
gallery is over there." Emily said this pointing to the door alcove.

" May I see it? The paintings?" Dominic said remembering Viggo's new art
exhibit. Emily nodded and led him to the room.

Meanwhile, Frankie looked on and sighed while the shop quickly filled up. He
needed to call suzy it was going to ge a busy day.
