Crystal’s surgery went well. She had broken her foot in two places, and she had a compound fracture in her leg. Which meant she had a big cast. It went from above the knee down to her toes. Crystal woke up in a bed the next day and wasn’t sure where she was. She saw her mom sitting in a chair. "Mom?"
"Hey! She’s awake! How are you, sweety?" Her mom came over to the bed and sat on the very edge.
"I’m all right, I guess. What’s wrong with my leg?"
"You broke your foot in two places, and you have a compound fracture in your leg. Nice big cast. I get to sign it first." Her mom pulled out a marker, and wrote, ‘If you ever think about going Jet Skiing again remember this, Love your mom.’
"Mom, do you know who hit me?" Crystal smirked, "Frodo Baggins!"
"Yeah, I met him. I told him your favorite one was Pippin."
"Mother!" Crystal rolled her eyes.
"He’s outside waiting to talk to you, can I let him in?"
"NO! Yes! I guess." Crystal didn’t want to see him again.
"OK? He called me last night after we left the hospital and asked if I thought you would be up to visitors." Her mom walked to the door and nodded at Elijah who walked in with a big bouquet of flowers, daises to be exact.
"Here, I got you these." Elijah said proudly. The door had almost closed when five other people burst noisily through.
"Come on Janna, you know I’m your favorite. Just give in to the hotness that is Dom." Dom was still trying to hit on Janna.
"Oh give up, Romeo." Billy said. "Janna, stay with me I’ll protect you."
"Oh thank you Billy." Janna said and rolled her eyes. Crystal was sneezing over and over again.
"Elijah! Those are daisies!" Nina yelped.
"Yeah and?" Elijah replied.
"*Sneeze* I’m * sneeze * allergic *sneeze * to *sneeze * them." Crystal said between sneezes.
"Oh…My…God…Elijah you almost kill her once. Are you trying to do it again?" Billy asked.
"Well, shit." Elijah grabbed the flowers and darted out of the room, leaving everyone laughing at him. Except Crystal who couldn’t stop sneezing.
"Crystal! Oh my god that’s a huge cast." Janna exclaimed.
"Yeah, and who are these people." Crystal knew who they were but didn’t want to seem odd.
"Oh, these freaks, well here is Sean," Sean stepped forward and bowed, "This is Billy, my hero," Billy stepped forward grabbed Crystals hand and kissed it, "This is Orlando ‘groove with me’ Bloom." Orlando shook his hips a little, "and this is Monaghan, Dominic Monaghan." Dominic grabbed Crystals other hand and kissed it.
As this was going on Crystal’s mom slipped out of the room, she wanted to let her daughter have some privacy. Elijah was coming back to the room and nodded to Nina as they passed each other. When Elijah walked in Janna was signing Crystal’s cast. Crystal had stopped sneezing although her eyes were puffy and red. Billy and the guy’s had all taken chairs and pulled them close to Crystal’s bed.
"You're back." Crystal said looking up.
"Yup, and with out the flowers." Elijah said.
"It was a nice thought. Would you sign my cast?" Crystal asked.
"Sure! I would love to. Where at?" He took the marker from Janna.
"Here?" She pointed to her knee. Elijah sat on the bed causing her leg to slide and Crystal yelled out. "OUCH! GET OFF, GET OFF!" Elijah jumped up and looked startled.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you."
"Again. He didn’t mean to hurt you…again." Billy added helpfully from his chair. Elijah turned red.
"Shut up, Billy!" Elijah snapped.
"Touchy!" Billy smirked.
"I’m ok, I didn’t mean to yell at you. I’m sorry. I really would like you to sign it." Crystal looked into his eyes and smiled.
"You sure?" Crystal nodded, and Elijah bent over and signed it, ‘I broke your leg and all you got was this stupid cast, love Elwood.’
"Sure, now you need to get her an ‘I’m with stupid' tee shirt." Orlando teased.
"Well, I think it’s funny." Crystal said smiling. "Who’s going to sign it next."
"Me! I want to, let me!" Billy jumped up and snatched the marker.
"So tell me what were the hobbits doing Jet Skiing?" Crystal asked.
"Don’t forget the elf." Orlando said.
"Right and the elf, by the way how do you get your hair so shiny?" Crystal teased.
"We got together for a week because everyone had time off. So we thought what could be more fun then hitting the beach." Elijah explained.
"We also thought it would be fun to mow down some of the locals." Billy added. Elijah groaned.
"Never going to live this down, am I?"
"Nope, probably not." Billy chuckled.
"Well, it was nice meeting you, but I have to go." Sean stood up and smiled at the girls, "It was nice to meet you, even under these circumstances."
"What? You have to have dinner with the old ball and chain?" Dom asked.
"That is a ball and chain I love very much thank you." Sean said, "Bye."
"Bye." Janna and Crystal said together.
