     Forest Drive
The Cwmcarn forest provides seven miles of beautiful forest scenery with magnificent views of of the surrounding counties of Wales and England.
The drive lies within the 4,000 hectare Ebbw forest and is ideal for a family day out.
There are 7 car parks on the route where you can stop for a picnic /barbeque or enjoy a refreshing walk and take in the views.
Mountain biking is also a popular activity along the "Twrch"trail, a 15.5km track with swooping descents and testing climbs.there is a visitor centre with a coffee shop and gift shop which stocks local handicrafts and souvenirs.There is also a caravan park with about 30 spaces for caravans/tents with electric hook ups.

Admission times Forest Drive:2006 Easter-Aug daily 11.00-19.00, Sept daily 11.00-18.00, Oct weekends only 11.00-17.00. Forest Drive closed from Nov-Easter.
