Near Llanrhidian on the Gower Peninsular stands Weobley castle, a well preserved 15th century castle with commanding views across the Loughor estuary. Much of what is visible today dates from early 1400.The visitor can explore many passages and rooms. There is a small charge payable at the farmhouse in the castle grounds. Within one of the rooms is an exhibition of the history of Weobley and other fortifications of the Gower. There is car parking but no toilets or refreshments but worth a visit. Ideal for a picnic with views over the estuary. |
