Mumbles often called 'The gateway to Gower' lies to the west of Swansea Bay.
This victorian resort has a large promenade with a restored pier, a yacht club, ice cream parlours and inns.
At the the village centre is Oystermouth so named because at one time it was a busy oyster fishing port.
There are some small shops, cafes and restaurants, and also the impressive remains of
Oystermouth castle. Parking is very good and also there are excellent facilities for the disabled.
At the western headland stands the Mumbles lighthouse overlooking the Blue Flag Award winning
Bracelet Bay.
