Aberaeron
Home Page
The beach at Aberaeron is not one of it's best features,  but I have included it in "Beaches of West Wales" as this charming town is well worth a visit.
You will find Aberaeron on the A487 south of Aberystwth. The town is situated at the mouth of the River Aeron and has a stone walled harbour and is popular with yachting enthusiasts.
Visitors will enjoy walking around it's streets and viewing the architecture of the houses most of them listed as historical importance.
There are craft shops to visit or why not sit on the quayside and enjoy a honey ice cream from the "Hive on the Quay" restaurant.
There is also a great fish and chip shop and plenty of pubs.
There are two car parks overlooking the beach both with toilets. Parking is pay and display.
