This is another color phase and the Zebra family. I have never had any luck breeding these fish so I got rid of them. They do add A nice color to any tank and do make good community fish. They should be kept in a tank with lots of rocks and hiding places and with Cichlids that are about the same, aggression wise. These guys can be aggressive but if in a tank with other zebra's they do very well. The name Red is kind of misleading as the fish are more of an orange color than red. They fish are mouth brooders, see my links page for information on mouth brooding. Hard to sex until adults, some people say you can sex these fish and many others by the egg spots on the anal fin. I find that both males and females can and do have egg spots, so to really tell you can vent the fish. See link on venting below.
