I received 6 of  these fish on on 08/20/99 via "The Cichlid Exchange" (see link page)  This fish has big eyes and looks really nice.  Again I just got this fish and I will update this page as I learn about them. Well after a number of battles I move my remaining 3 Toae to there own tank.  I did not have a tank I could move them to earlier so the fish paid the price.  Well and then there where 2.  I believe there was 2 males and 1 female and the males had it out.  I hope these fish breed i have never seen these in a local store so it would be a nice change for the area.  Was not meant to be "and then there was one"

Breeding Information:

Substrate spawner.  Pairs will tolerate the presence of their own kind in the same aquarium, provided there is enough space.  Artificial cave should be provided for the pair along with plenty of privacy.  Pair must be the dominant fish in the aquarium for spawning to be a possibility. I have not spawned these fish, the breeding information is from several different places.
