Klaatu - Sir Army Suit (1978)

Klaatu is back! The third album from a band that records in anonymity is yet another technological marvel. While the music world debates over wether Klaatu is the Beatles or not, the band continues to impress with their latest collection of original matterial.

Over all a strong album, Sir Army Suit is nothing short of amazing in places! Cut's like Mr. Manson, Perpetual Motion Machine and Silly Boy's are years ahead of their time. The technology of producing music, through the efforts of bands like Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues and Yes... even the Beatles, have paved the way for music like this, but it takes monumental creativity and imagination to produce an album like this.

Unlike it's predesessor "Hope", Sir Army Suit is not a concept album, but a collection of songs from various point's of view. As a follow up to a heavy concept like Hope, Sir Army Suit is light and breezy, by comparison. If not for a couple of the darker cuts on the album, I would say it is Klaatu's attempt at being a pop band.

Still in all, it's a great album and worth checking out.
