Hurricane Blows
Material: chairs or anything
that can used to represent a seat. The number of the seats is always
one less than the number of the players. For example, if ten children play
the game, you have to prepare nine seats.
Place/Site: A spacious place
where you can run.
Number of participants:
At least three people
Aim of the game: Race to
find a seat to sit down.
How to play: Choose one player
to be "IT". IT stands in the middle of the circle. The remaining players
sit in a circle, and they have their own seats. First IT, standing in the
middle of the circle, says, "Hurricane Blows!" and the remaining players
have to say, "Blow what?". Then IT says, "Blow... People who ......."
Then the player who correspond to the description have to leave their seats
and run to an empty seat to sit down. For example, if IT says "Blow...
People who wear glasses, then the players who are wearing glasses have
to leave their seats and find an empty seat to sit down. IT also tries
to find an empty seat to sit down while some players are leaving their
seats. The player who doesn't have a seat will be IT at next turn.
