"Rey y Verdugo"
(The King and The Executioner)
Players: Many people, in pairs
Tools: One coin per pair.
Aims: To do what the leader
says.
Rules: One cannot order
what he or she would never dare doing.
Procedure:
1.The first player takes
one coin and throws it into the air... he or she must catch it on the external
part of his/her hand.
2.If the coin falls down,
he loses and he is "not saved" (he is The Executioner"), so he must obey
the Kings' orders.
3.If the coin falls gently
on his/her hand, it is to say, if he can catch it with the external part
of his hand, he must try to place it in between the fingers: If the coin
goes directly in between the smallest finger and the ring one, he is "Saved"
and he is the leader (The King), so he will give orders to the other player.
4.If the coin goes in between
the ring finger and the heart finger, the player is "not saved" and he
must obey (he is the "Executioner").
5.If the coin goes in between
the heart finger and the pointer finger, he is the leader or the King.
6.The king can give orders
to the Executioner: "Salta cien veces" (Hop or jump thousand times), "Saluda
a un señor en la calle" (say hello to a man in the street)... He
can order to jump, or to shout, or to kiss somebody, etc...
He cannot order something
he is not able to do: the executioner can always ask the King to do what
he has ordered, and if the King does not dare doing it, he loses his turn
of King. (Miguel Ruiz)
