"You're Het!"
Matthew is 40 years old and tells us about a game played when aged 5-12. My school break times: I played tig, marbles, football, cowboys and Indians. What is (or was) your favourite school playground game? I played tig, marbles, football, cowboys and Indians. My favourite school playground game: My favourite playground game was “Tig”.

How to play: Somebody was “It”. Everyone else in the game had to try not to get caught by "It". You were not allowed to leave the school grounds. If you were caught you became It and you had to chase everyone else. It is played competitively, indoors by between 3 and any number players - boys and girls, aged from 5 years to 12 years. What you need: hands to touch and feet to run.

Special game location, surface or design: none. Special rhymes, songs or language used: you re het! (IT); you never touched me! You were cheating! (Karen Brady, 10 years old)
