Material: Os meninos.
Terreno: Espaço grande.
Número De Participantes:
Vários.
Objectivo: Obter o maior
número de elementos para ganhar a prova.
Desenvolvimento: Dois meninos
de mãos dadas escolhem cada um, um nome: de frutos, animais, países
ou de outra coisa que quiserem, sem os outros ouvirem. Os restantes
meninos fazem uma fila e cantam uma canção:
-Ó senhor Barqueiro
deixe-me passar, tenho filhos pequeninos não os posso sustentar...,
passará ,passará , mas algum deixará, se não
for a mãe da frente é o filho lá de trás.
Quando passam por baixo
do arco que os dois meninos fazem, fica lá o último menino
da fila. Este escolhe um dos nomes que eles propõem e fica atrás
do menino que tiver o nome que ele escolheu.
Quando tiverem todos escolhido
formam dois grupos, conforme os nomes escolhidos.
De seguida fazem um risco
no chão, a dividir os grupos , dão as mãos e puxam
na direcção do seu grupo.
O grupo que passar o risco
perde o jogo.

Aim: to get the largest
number of items possible
How to play: Two kids, hand
in hand, choose a word each (name of fruit, animal, country or whatever)
not to allowing the other kids to know what their words are. The rest of
the kids line up and sing a song:
"Hello, Mr. Boatman, let
us cross the river. We have children to care for."
"You will go, you
will go, but someone will be barred, either the mother at the beginning
of the line, or the son at the end of it."
When the kids cross under
the arch made by the two kids, the last one in line is barred. He has to
choose one of the two offered words. He is placed behind the kid whose
word he chooses.
When all kids make their
choices of words, two groups are made. Next, both groups of kids are divided
by a line drawn on the ground. They all hold each other's hands and pull
back, as a line, as hard as they cant to avoid trespassing the line. The
group that goes across it loses the game.

the same game in Brazil, but we do not use the character of the boatman.
