Who is in the Garden?
The players of the game stand in a circle- the garden- with face to the center and they join their hands. Some boys and girls- they are "bees"- go into the circle.
Now they start singing "Who is in the garden, who is in the garden?
The bee is in the garden of roses (twice)".
Meanwhile the players of the game who are making the circle are walking in the direction of dance. "The little bees" are walking in the garden. When the players are singing: "Creep, the little bee, through the leaves and branches", the participants who are forming the "garden" raise their hands and stop. "The little bees" start creeping through "the leaves" and "twigs". While the participants are singing "If you find somebody else, put him in your place", "the little bees stand behind a boy or a girl- a boy stands behind a girl and a girl stands behind a boy- and push them into "the garden".
The game starts from the very beginning.
Salt -posts
If you are more than 2 children, you can play the following game. You must elect a catcher. The others must to try to run away from the catcher. The caught player is to "freeze up", it means, he must not move and be like a "salt -post". Somebody must touch him to "unfreeze" him. Then he can move again. That's why the catcher tries not to let the others to get near the "salt - post". The catcher has to "freeze up" all the players. The last "salt - post" becomes the new catcher, and the game starts from beginning.

There is a saying in Latvian: "You are standing like a salt -post". It is used to characterize somebody who is so frightened that he can't move.

Messages
The players divide into two teams. One of the teams has to write 10 messages on separate bits of paper. In the first message they have to write the place, where the second message will be hidden. In the second message they have to write where the third message will be hidden and so on. They write all the messages in the same way and hide them in the right places. But in the last message they write the place where all the team will be hiding. Then they give the first message to the second team. The second team has to find all the messages one by one. For example, they read the first message and the following words are written there:" Under the tree!" They find the tree, and under the tree they find the next message, where the words: "On the table", are written etc. While the second team is searching for the messages, the first team hides in the place the name of which is written in the last message. When the second team finds all the messages, they have to find the first team. Then the teams change places and the game starts again.
