Chung Yueng Festival
Tse-Kin (Pantium) Wong from Hong Kong

In Hong Kong there is a holiday called Chung Yueng Festival. It is celebrated on
September 9th of the Lunar calendar. People usually go hiking; they go to a high place such as a hill.

The story of this holiday was about a family. On that day, a family went to a hill to do something. When they came back home, they found all the animals had died. They didn't know what happened. They thought that going to a high place saved their lives. Because people wanted to avoid getting killed, we have Chung Yueng Festival today.

However, people celebrate the same way on Ching Ming Festival. They worship their ancestors in the cemetery, so we have two days a year to worship our ancestors.
