Entry Fees 

The Basic Camp Fee (includes classes, simultaneous, training games, master analysis, camp shirt, binder, materials, written evaluation, sports, awards, and much more) is based on the date of postmark as follows:

A $100 deposit is required to guarantee your place at Camp, but it does not lock in the discounted price. You must be Paid-In-Full by the listed deadlines to receive the discount.  Fees for Resident Campers increase $30 each month after January 1 while fees for Commuters and for the Room & Meals option increase $10 a month. 

In addition to the basic Camp package, there are several other activities/options that can be added for a fee. For $10, campers can go swimming every day during recreation time.

This year, the entry fee for the PA State Championship & Tullah Hanley Grand Prix is as low as $38 if paid with registration and the fee for the Quick Chess tournament is  as low as $4 if paid with registration! These discounts are available only to those attending camp. The table below details the activities/options and their corresponding prices:

The University Park Airport (SCE) is located 5.5 miles from State College and the Penn State University campus. The modern terminal completed in 1993 provides complete passenger services.

Bus: Trailways and Greyhound Lines connections are available to and from State College. For information, call Trailways at 800-942-8287/814-238-1100 (local) or Greyhound at 800-231-2222/814-238-7971 (local).

Train:  Amtrak serves the nearby towns of Tyrone and Lewistown (both less than one hour from campus), where limited bus service to State College is available. Check appropriate train schedules for times. For reservations, call 800-USA-RAIL (872-7245).

Pressing the Submit button will automatically send this registration to the American Chess School.  Registration will be valid only when payment is received.  Early-bird registration should be postmarked with full payment no later than December 31 to guarantee the best rate. Online registration does not lock in the registration fee.  We will email you an invoice for the amount due within 72 hours of your submission.

Permission is hereby granted to publish pictures and the name of this camper on the AmChess Web site, in camp literature, and in newspaper articles.
