For an informal style wedding any of the wide variety of handwritten notes available from newsagents and department stores would be appropriate. For more formal weddings, consider using a stationer to assist with wedding invitation design, wording and delivery. Remember to order/buy more invitations than you initially need, as you do not want to find yourself short when those last minute invitations need to be sent. Invitations should be sent out at least 8 weeks before the wedding, and if possible much earlier for interstate and overseas guests. Your wedding invitation should include the following:
Sample Wording Here is an example of how a traditional wedding invitation is worded. Mr and Mrs John Smith
There are many variations to this standard format depending on who is hosting the wedding and how formal it will be, so please adjust accordingly.
