Just two matches remain for each team in the Hundred 2021 and the table is still so closely packed together that the positions will continue to change till the very last match of the group stage is played. Southern Brave has recovered from a slow start to now have three wins from its previous three matches. It is going to take on a team that has had the opposite fortunes.
Welsh Fire started with two wins but has since lost its next four matches. Interestingly, one of those wins came against the Southern Brave early on in the Hundred 2021.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Southern Brave vs Welsh Fire, the Hundred 2021. The match is going to be played at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on the 11th of August 2021.
Southern Brave has followed a nice strategy of building its team around a core of very talented English players. It took some time for it to find the right balance but it has been on a roll in the last few matches. The overseas players in Southern Brave are also performing quite well and making an impact.
Quinton de Kock has the most number of runs with 123. His best score of 72 not out came in the previous match and he also has the highest number of sixes hit in the squad. We recommend looking at 'To Hit A Six' betting markets or Over/Under Total Runs bets. Quinton de Kock is a form player and we will back him now that he is in top gear.
Paul Stirling, Alex Davies, James Vince, Ross Whiteley, and Colin de Grandhhomme ensure that there is more than enough depth in the Southern Brave lineup to allow it to play freely and recover from any early losses. Vince and Davies also have more than a 100 runs each.
Devon Conway has been replaced by Paul Stirling at the top of the order. We are not huge fans of Stirling but he will score at a high strike rate no matter what.
The bowling is where the Southern Brave seems to have pulled off some selection brilliance. Chris Jordan and Tymal Mills are world-class death bowlers. They have taken 5 and 4 wickets in the Hundred 2021 season so far without being too expensive. In fact, Mills is the most economical bowler in the squad right now.
Look for betting markets on Mills and Jordan to pick up wickets as they are in a prime position to do so.
George Garton, Jake Lintott, and Danny Briggs are local English players that have performed well under pressure and help round out the attack.

Welsh Fire has just seemed to have gotten worse as the Hundred has progressed. It suffered a 93 runs loss to Birmingham Phoenix in the previous match it played as the entire batting line-up crumbled. The batting has been a real problem ever since Jonny Bairstow became unavailable. Over 200 runs have been scored by Ben Duckett and Glenn Phillips has hit one fifty too but the batting is nowhere near as strong as it needs to be.
The lack of runs from Tom Banton is a massive problem because he was one of the players that they were really banking on. We think the betting strategy here is simple. Take Ian Cockbain and Ben Duckett out because they have been somewhat consistent and bet on the 'Under' for all the other batsmen. We followed this same strategy in the previous match and just used the Total Runs Over/Under betting markets for the Welsh Fire.
The bowling attack for Welsh Fire is also quite weak. Qais Ahmad is the only player that has been able to make some sort of impact in the series so far. He has taken seven wickets and is the most economical bowler of the side to have bowled a significant number of overs. Jimmy Neesham and David Payne have also been in the wickets but they are both very expensive.
Things are not looking good for Welsh Fire in this match at all.
David Lloyd, Tom Banton, IA Cockbain, Ben Duckett, GD Phillips, A Leus du Plooy, James Neesham, Graeme White, Qais Ahmad, Luke Fletcher, David Payne.
The two matches played at Southampton (plus two in the women's Hundred) have all been won by the team batting second. This indicates that the team that wins the toss is going to want to field first.

The conditions in Southampton are expected to be perfect for cricket. Good weather, a nice pitch, and a blazingly fast outfield await us for this match. We can expect a high-scoring match with plenty of fours and sixes to be hit in the match. 150 plus scores for both teams are definitely on the cards if Welsh Fire can get its batting together.
We have no hesitation in backing the form team, Southern Brave, in this match. It has a stronger batting lineup, top players in form, and is also playing at home. There is no aspect of the game in which Welsh Fire appears to be stronger.
Bet on Southern Brave to win.
The fact that Welsh Fire is in such poor batting form makes us think that not too many sixes in total might be hit. Southampton is also a big ground on which six-hitting is not the easiest. We are confident that 10 sixes may not be hit in this match.
Southern Brave is loaded with batting talent that is in much better form than Welsh Fire. We would back it to hit more fours than Welsh Fire in most matches.
The risk to this bet is that Welsh Fire may bat first and not score very well. Still, looking at the likely conditions, 150 seems like a part total at this venue. Both teams should be able to get past 143 in our opinion. A bet well worth considering.
