We are just about at the back-end of the Hundred and the things are panning out beautifully. We are up for a terrific finish to the league stage as the top-our will likely be decided on the last day of the league stage. We will move a fair bit, however, after the result of the next match that is to be played between Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals. The match between the two sides is to be played on 12th August 2021 at Leeds Cricket Ground, Headingley.
Just like the Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers are also in a pretty peculiar situation. A win here will push them to the third spot but a loss here will basically end their campaign. Given their net run-rate of 0.435, which shows that they have been pretty dominating, Northern Superchargers will be disappointed if they have to leave the tournament early.
One reason why they are languishing in the bottom half of the ladder despite being so dominating is that three of their matches were washed out due to rain. They did a decent job in their remaining three matches, but they did not prove to be enough. They have a decent side on paper and if they perform to their potential, beating them is going to be incredibly difficult.

Machester Originals have had a roller-coaster ride in the tournament so far and will want to finish it off on a high note. They started their campaign with a loss at the hands of Oval Invincibles, but then scored a couple of terrific wins. However, a loss in the last match has put their spot in a bit of jeopardy and they will need to win that to have any chance of qualification whatsoever.
In the tournament up until now, Manchester Originals have six points from as many matches and will need to win this one to get to the top of the ladder. A loss here, however, will be enough to knock them out of the competition. Considering how they have done so far, they would be gutted to leave the tournament early and will likely give it their all in the upcoming match.

This is a virtual quarter-final for both sides and a cracking contest is certainly on the cards in this high-stakes encounter. While both sides have some exciting talent available at their disposal, we think that Manchester Originals with their swashbuckling batting unit will be too hot to handle. Bet on Manchester Originals to register a win in this all-important match.
