Royal Challengers Bangalore will be playing the Punjab Kings in what will be the penultimate match for RCB in the IPL 2022 Group Stage. RCB is in an excellent position to qualify and just needs one win out of the two to ensure qualification and also comes into this match with two wins in its previous two matches.
The Punjab Kings have been extremely inconsistent in IPL 2022 and seem to have underutilized the kind of potential they have. They are still in with a slim chance of getting into the playoffs but for that to happen, they have to win both their matches and hope for some other results to go their way.

RCB absolutely demolished SRH in its previous match thanks to another excellent inning from Faf du Plessis at the top and some astonishing striking by Dinesh Karthik at the end. Rajat Patidar also showed good form and seems to have cemented his place at number three.
Maxwell is playing high-impact innings and Lomror also seems to be an improved player.
The one person who continues to struggle is Virat Kohli. Unfortunately, it looks like the fast he gets out is better for RCB right now because even when he does spend some time at the crease, he is struggling. He will have to make a concerted effort to score quicker and that could bring his downfall once more.
We think betting against Virat Kohli is the move to make in his current poor form.
RCB's batting has done well but its real strength has been the bowling. Josh Hazelwood and Wanindu Hasaranga have been brilliant throughout the season. You can pick either one of them for the Top Bowler RCB betting market.
Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj, and the all-rounders round out a very strong RCB lineup.

PBKS has no option but to play freely and that is what it started out doing before just pulling things back a little. Now, however, it is going to have to hope for something special from Livingstone or Rajapaksa, or even Dhawan to get the runs needed in this match.
We think PBKS certainly has the batting to be able to match RCB or even better it. There is enough depth in the lineup and there is no doubting the power. With Jitesh Sharma also playing a good hand in most matches, PBKS has 6-7 batsmen that it can rely on.
We would look at betting on the PBKS batting as a whole. That means backing them in the Most Sixes, Most Fours, or the Team with Highest Scoring Batsman.
PBKS's batting has not been supported by its bowling, though. Kagiso Rabada has not had the kind of productive IPL that he was having for the last few years with the Delhi Capitals and the same can be said about Rahul Chahar as well.
This has put pressure on Arshdeep Singh as well as the all-rounders. Rishi Dhawan and Liam Livingstone will have to bowl in this match as well and that could be something that RCB targets. We also think Sandeep Sharma could be the type of bowler that Du Plessis and Maxwell feast on.
Historically, Maxwell and Sandeep Sharma have been in the same team for a long time and so we don't have a big sample size, however, du Plessis has scored 74 runs off 58 deliveries and got out just twice against Sandeep Sharma.
If Sandeep Sharma plays, his performance could very well dictate how competitive PBKS's bowling attack is.

The conditions are going to be hot and humid, weather-wise, but the dew does seem to have reduced on most days. The pitch at the Brabourne is perhaps one of the best for batting at this stage in IPL 2022. 349 and 393 runs were scored in the previous two matches played here.
The average first inning winning score at the Brabourne in IPL 2022 has been 199.2. That is quite high and shows that teams need to get a move on from the beginning. This is the third match that RCB is going to play at the Brabourne and it has lost both of the ones that it has played here so far. PBKS has won one out of the three it has played here but it did get over 180 on two of those occasions.
We think a score of around 170 should be considered par.

We are going to bet on the underdog here and actually back the Punjab Kings. We think the pitch is going to be more suitable for PBKS and it does not seem to change during the match so the toss is not as big a factor either.
The stronger and more powerful batting lineup of PBKS could give it a slight edge although RCB clearly has the better bowling attack. We also think the better odds make the risk worth it.

We are happy to bet on the 'Over' in this match. The previous two matches played at the Brabourne have seen well over 334.5 runs being scored. Brabourne Stadium has been the highest-scoring venues in IPL 2022 and with two strong batting lineups competing, we could see a real run-fest here.
34 fours per match have been scored at the Brabourne Stadium in IPL 2022. The Over/Under line available is well under that and so taking a punt on this bet certainly makes mathematical sense. We think this is one where you can go a bit big.
The odds are a bit lower than what we would have liked but we still recommend betting on Liam Livingstone. He has hit 25 sixes in 171 deliveries. That is the third highest-number of sixes in total and also the third best sixes per deliveries faced (min 15 sixes) after Russell and Karthik. Definitely worth the risk!
