Unless one of the Punjab Kings bowlers does something spectacular and wins the game for its team, the Man of the Match award should go to Khaleel Ahmed.

Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are in the lower half of the IPL 2021 League table at the moment. While Punjab Kings have lost two out of the three matches it has played, Sunrisers Hyderabad has lost all of their three matches so far.
This is an important match for both teams as falling too far behind is going to make it very difficult to make their way into the playoffs.
We expect a few changes for both teams as they look to find the right balance. For the Punjab Kings, this is the first match that they are going to play in Chennai. The conditions in Chennai have so far offered up some real low-scoring thrillers and we could be in store for another one.
Punjab Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2021 is going to be played at the MS Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on the 21st of April 2021.
Punjab’s entire team is geared towards scoring big and playing powerful shots. This is we believe that Punjab Kings will be disappointed to come away from its leg in Mumbai with just one win to its name. That was where the conditions suited it best and Chennai could be a lot tougher to succeed in.
KL Rahul has come in for some flack regarding his strike rate but a more measured approach may be required in Chennai. With Mayank Aggarwal, Chris Gayle, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, and Shahrukh Khan has a very powerful top-6 with nothing much to follow.
Getting those big shots away in Chennai is going to be difficult and we think this batting lineup could struggle.
It will be interesting to see if Punjabk Kings continue to persist with Jhye Richardson and Rilee Meredith in this match. The conditions are going to favor the spinners and bringing in someone like Fabian Allen may not be a bad idea. He will provide another spin option and add depth to the batting as well.
Similarly, we also think it is quite strange that Ravi Bishnoi has not got a chance to play as yet. Both he and Murugan Ashwin were omitted from the previous match while Jalaj Saxena got to play. That is just bizarre and we think this will be corrected in this match.

David Warner has been frustrated with his team at letting go of two potential wins in their previous two matches. Warner and Bairstow gave the team a brilliant start in the previous match against Mumbai Indians but the rest of the batting lineup just collapsed.
SRH made four changes to its team for the previous match and we don’t think they are done just yet.
They have to find a way to get Kane Williamson into the lineup and we think Mujeeb ur Rahman may be the one to miss out because of that. Abhishek Sharma can be replaced with Shahbaz Nadeem and so the entire balance of the team would start to look a bit better.
We don’t think SRH has any option but to bring Kane Williamson in because Manish Pandey has been quite poor at three. Virat Singh got a chance but he did not impress us much and Abhishek Sharma seems like an unfinished product just yet.
Rashid Khan and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will lead the bowling for SRH. They added Khaleel Ahmed and Mujeeb to the bowling attack but that balance may have to change. Vijay Shankar bowled quite well and that would encourage the SRH to strengthen its batting.
We think SRH has a huge advantage going into this match because it is familiar with the conditions in Chennai. Also, the form of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner is too good not to get a win for the team.

Winning the toss and batting first is the way to go now. Teams are going to be playing for a total of about 160 and then try to defend it. We have seen the last five matches in Chennai being won by the team that batted first and so that must be taken into account while placing your bets.

The conditions in Chennai have been quite bowler-friendly. We don’t think the performances by Ab de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell should fool us into thinking that Chennai is suddenly a good batting wicket! A score of around 160 is par and anything more than that is going to be hard to chase down.
The pitch slows down dramatically in the second inning and we have not seen any dew come into play just yet. Batsmen that bat against the new ball and spinners have the best chance of success.

We think this is a good match to back the underdog. Sunrisers Hyderabad has the advantage of knowing the conditions in Chennai very well and we think that is going to be the difference in this match. The makeup of the SRH team seems to be better than that of the Punjab Kings when it comes to playing on spin-friendly, low-scoring surfaces.

Jonny Bairstow has been in great form and we think it is just a matter of time before he comes up with a real big inning. This is the time to get behind him and try to get a big return for yourself!
We are all-in on the opening pair for SRH. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow are going to open the batting and we think both of them have the capability to get another solid partnership once more. Even if they stay together for a few overs, 25 or more is not a big deal for them.
