The Oman T20 series got off to an exciting start as we had some good matches on the first day. Now, it is the winners of the first couple of matches taking on each other. Oman, the hosts of the series, will be playing against Ireland in this match.
This is going to be a much stiffer test for Oman after its win against Hong Kong. Ireland, meanwhile, will be very keen to build on its win against the Netherlands. This tournament is all about getting the side some much needed T20 exposure ahead of the World T20 Qualifiers.
Oman vs Ireland Oman T20 Series 2019 is going to be played at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Ministry Turf 1), Al Amarat, Oman on the 6th of October 2019.
A steady bowling performance by Oman helped it restrict Hong Kong to just 96 in 20 overs. As good as that scorecard might appear, though, we think Oman would recognize the fact that Hong Kong is a much weaker opposition than Ireland and that the same kind of bowling figures are going to be much harder to get in this match.
Mohammad Nadeem was the bowler of the match for Oman against Hong Kong. He came in to bowl first-change and picked up wickets to end a promising opening partnership. He also kept the runs down and helped build up the pressure for the other bowlers.
Oman’s bowlers know their limitations and tend to bowl within them waiting for the batsmen to make mistakes rather than trying to force their own.
Khawar Ali and Zeeshan Maqsood were the pick of the batsmen as Oman chased down the total in under 14 overs.
Getting a win under its belt will help the confidence of the Oman side but it's going to be a whole different ball game against Ireland in the next match.
Suraj Kumar, Jatinder Singh, Khurram Nawaz, Sandeep Goud, Zeeshan Maqsood, Aaqib Sulehri, Khawar Ali, Bilal Khan, Aamir Kaleem, Fayyaz Butt, Mohammad Nadeem.
Ireland continued to cement its improvement in T20 cricket and registered a very good victory against the Netherlands. Chasing down 168 can be tricky but Ireland did it with ease in the end.
Every single one of its batsmen got a start and made a contribution to the chase. Andrew Balbirnie and Harry Tector were the batsmen of the inning as they played fluently and found the boundaries with ease.
We like the opening pair of Paul Stirling and Kevin O Brien for Ireland. It is a positive move to pair them at the top since they both come hard at the opposition bowlers. Both of these batsmen are going to have a great opportunity to get a big score against Oman in the next match.
Mark Adair, Craig Young, and Boyd Rankin were the best bowlers for Ireland in the first match. They are going to be targeting the Oman top-order as well and will be aware of a sift underbelly once they get through the first couple of players.
GC Wilson, Kevin O'Brien, PR Stirling, Andy Balbirnie, Harry Tector, Mark Richard Adair, Gareth Delany, Shane Getkate, George Dockrell, SR Thompson, CA Young.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

There is no rain expected in Oman for the match and we should have another uninterrupted game. The pitch proved to be just as expected. Flat and good for batting although a bit on the slower side. Scores of around 160 should be considered par on this surface although we think Ireland could get much more if it bats first.
We think that Ireland should be able to win this game easily. It has better batsmen, better bowling, and more experience to bank upon.
Bet on Ireland to win.
